Looking for HS Earth Science Teachers!

ODI is looking for high school Earth Science teachers for a study about teaching high school science using “big data.”

What does participation in the study involve?

The study will occur in the 2018–19 school year. Teachers will pilot three curriculum modules (approximately three to five class periods each) with one class of students, and assess students’ knowledge and skills before and after the modules using a researcher assessment. Teachers will provide feedback to researchers through interviews about their perceptions of the module and digital tools and their suggestions for improvement. Researchers also will observe three to four classes when students are using the tools.

Teachers and/or schools will be compensated for their time and effort in a manner that is in accordance with their school district’s policies. We will offer $600 for using all three modules. Read this flyer for more details.

Email Megan Silander at zisci@edc.org or call 212-807-4219 to participate.
